PURPOSE: To obtain an image forming material of high quality of a dry process good in preservability by adding a photothermal conversion substance, a polymerizable compd. having an ethylenic unsaturated bond and a thermal polymerization initiator to a photothermal conversion thermal polymerization layer. CONSTITUTION: An intermediate layer 2 and a photothermal conversion thermal polymerization layer 3 are laminated on the base material 1 of an image forming material. The photothermal conversion thermal polymerization layer 3 contains a photothermal conversion substance, a polymerizable compd. having an ethylenic unsaturated bond and a thermal polymerization initiator. This image forming material is imagewise exposed to generate a difference in sticking force between exposed and unexposed parts to an image receiving sheet. By using this image forming material, no color turbidity is generated at the time of the formation of an image and a high-grade full color image is obtained by a dry process. |
