A metering/shaping head for dispensing spherical portions of a pasty material. The head is designed to fill and empty a chamber consisting of a space defined by a rotary scoop. Said head is characterised in that it comprises a vent (14) at the end of a channel through which the material is fed, the scoop (8) forms the wall of the channel, and the vent (14) may be provided in the region of the pole of the scoop (8) when the chamber is filled from the front (Fig. 17), or in the region of the rotational axis (12) of the scoop (8) when the chamber is filled tangentially (Fig. 18), so that the chamber may be filled completely and perfectly shaped spherical portions achieved. |
