The invention principally relates to a buoyant craft of the type referred to as an emergency craft or a life-raft. A craft according to the invention comprises a plurality of elongate body wall portions (6) forming an enclosure having for preference a triangular, square or circular cross section. Each body wall portion (6) is capable of acting as a floor portion of the craft, so that if the craft overturns in rough water it does not need to be "righted". Access to the enclosure is by apertures (10) in one or both end walls (8). Suitable closures are provided for the apertures. A preferred example shows the craft formed as a framework provided by inflatable tubular members (30) around which a waterproof sac may be secured, preferably with an insulating lining.
