FLUORORUBBER COPOLYMER AND CURING COMPOSITION THEREOF

A fluororubber copolymer produced by free-radical polymerization in the presence of a diiodinated compound, containing 0.005-1.5 mol % iodine-containing fluorinated vinyl ether units, 40-90 mol % vinylidene fluoride units, 3-35 mol % perfluoro (methyl vinyl ether) units, and optionally up to 25 mol % hexafluoropropylene units and up to 40 mol % tetrafluoroethylene units. The copolymer contains iodine atoms originating in the diiodinated compound and the iodine-containing fluorinated vinyl ether units in amounts of 0.01-1 wt.% and 0.01-2 wt. %, respectively, and has a Mooney viscosity of 20 to 150.
