<p>A device for the closed transfer of chemical concentrate to a small sprayer system comprises a transfer casing (2) for containing a quantity of chemical concentrate, an input connector (7) for detachable connection to an outlet of a chemical container for closed transfer of chemical concentrate from the container to the transfer casing (2), and an output connector (9) for detachable connection to the inlet of a receiving reservoir of the sprayer system for closed transfer of chemical concentrate from the transfer casing (2) to the reservoir. The output connector (9) is provided with a self-closing valve (24) which is openable to permit metering of chemical from the tranfer casing (2) to the reservoir, and the input of air to the tranfer casing (2) during metering of chemical from the transfer casing to the reservoir is permitted by way of the input connector (7) and a self-closing valve (20), whilst ensuring that accidental leackage of chemical from the tranfer casing is prevented when the transfer casing is inverted. This permits a measured quantity of chemical concentrate to be introduced into the sprayer system in a safe manner.</p> |
