PURPOSE: To obtain a sealed lead-acid battery having a temperature protection unit in which, even when electrolyte exists within a battery jar, a battery is protected smoothly at specific temperature. CONSTITUTION: In a temperature protection unit 6, a thermal fuse 2 breaking at specific temperature and liquid 3 are sealed in a bag 1 formed by acid- resistant pack film and both ends 4a, 4b of a thermal fuse 2 are lead out of the bag 1. The unit is then contained in a battery jar together with a plate group 16 composed of a positive electrode plate 7, a negative electrode plate 8 and a retainer 9. The thermal fuse 2 is connected in series to a circuit supplying power to the plate group 16. |
