PURPOSE: To complete the expansion control of an air bag by supplying the excess power of an ignition backup power source to a control backup power source. CONSTITUTION: A control circuit 5 making a collision judgment and generating an ignition instruction and an ignition circuit 4 receiving the ignition instruction and feeding an ignition current to a detonating element are provided with a control backup power source 15 serving as an alternate power source when a battery power source is cut off and an ignition backup power source 14 respectively. When the control circuit 5 sends the switching instruction after the ignition instruction, a switching circuit 22 connects the ignition backup power source 14 to the control backup power source 15, the excess power of the ignition backup power source 14 is supplied to the control backup power source 15, and the expansion control of an air bag can be satisfactorily completed including the recording of collision data.
