PURPOSE: To safely charge a battery by incorporating a battery, a motor, a controller, etc., in a frame having drive units at the right and left sides, tiltably mounting a cover at the frame by a supporting lever which can support at a predetermined open angle, and shielding the front surface of a charging plug socket in the support frame of a laid down position. CONSTITUTION: A battery 3, a motor 4, a controller, etc., are contained in a frame 2 having drive units at the right and left sides. A cover 6 is tiltably mounted at the frame 2 by a supporting lever 7 for supporting the cover 6 at a predetermined open angle, and the both are so disposed as to shield the front surface of a charging plug socket 8 by the lever 7 of a laid down position. Thus, in the case of charging, the cover 6 is always opened at the predetermined angle to easily and effectively release a large quantity of hydrogen gas generated from the battery 3 of large capacity, thereby safely charging the battery 3. |
