<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a rice cooker capable of cooking rice stably delicious without spending time and labor. <P>SOLUTION: A controller 8 includes body 1; pan container 5 housed in the body 1; lid body 10 with which an opening of the pan container 5 is covered; heating coil 3 heating the pan container 5; controller 8 executing the process of cooking rice that controls heating coil 3 in a driving and contains the preheating process and a temperature rise process; and water absorption determinator 16 determine the easiness of the water absorption of rice.
