<p>PURPOSE: To provide a counterpressure reducing valve by which counterpressure generated by a water hammer phenomenon can be damped so that an apparatus on an upstream side in a water pipe, etc., can be prevented from being damaged by the cause of this counterpressure. CONSTITUTION: A counterpressure reducing valve is provided with a housing 1 in which a valve chamber 6 is arranged between an inflow opening 4 and an outflow opening 5, a valve seat 7 is arranged in the inflow opening side end part of the valve chamber 6 and a stopper 9 is set in the outflow side end part of the valve chamber 6, a valve body 13 which is inserted in the valve chamber 6, can freely reciprocated between the valve seat 7 and the stopper 9, and closes a valve hole 12 when seated on the valve seat 7, a steady channel 15 which communicates the inflow opening 4 and the outflow opening 5 to each other through the valve hole 12, and a pressure relieving channel 16 which communicates the inflow opening 4 and the outflow opening 5 to each other through a pressure relieving hole 17 arranged in the housing 1 or the valve body 13. Pressure boss in the pressure relieving channel 16 is set larger than that in the steady channel 15.</p> |
