PURPOSE: To automatically detect the degree of the deterioration of the outer wall of a building according to the change of a hitting sound and to stop the measuring operation by wall surface hitting means when a window frame or the like is overridden. CONSTITUTION: A method for diagnosing an outer wall comprises the steps of elevating a vertically movable truck 5 suspended via a wire 4, measuring the wall surface 2A by hitting the surface 2A by wall surface hitting means 42, 42A of the truck 5, and stopping the operation by the means 42, 42A when the protrusion 100 of a building 2 is overridden. |
