PURPOSE: To provide the document processor with which the exact sentence divided result can be provided by considering position relation with parentheses in the case of retrieving a partitioning symbol. CONSTITUTION: When the sentence division of a text is started while setting punctuation marks as partitioning symbols, retrieval is performed concerning the punctuation marks and the parentheses (S51) and when any open parenthesis is retrieved (S52:YES and S54:NO), that open parenthesis is preserved in a stack part (S55). Afterwards, when a close parenthesis corresponding to this open parenthesis is retrieved (S57:YES), the open parenthesis preserved in the stack part is erased (S58). When the punctuation mark is retrieved, the stack part is referred to (S59) and when the open parenthesis is preserved (S60:YES), this punctuation mark is regarded inside the parentheses not to execute the reading of the text but when nothing is preserved in the stack part, this punctuation mark is regarded outside the parentheses to read the text while partitioning it with the contents up to that mark as one sentence. |
