Poultry is transported from place to place, carried on hooks (7) mounted on the central bars of a frame (1). The outer sides of the frame (2, 2', 3, 3') extend either side of the birds to protect them from knocking. The sides of the frame on one side (2, 2') are set wider than the others (3, 3') so that when the frames are empty they can be interlocked (14) to take up less space.
