PURPOSE: To enable a user to know desired facilities with simple operation in the case of not knowing the place, name, and the like of the facilities well. CONSTITUTION: An on-vehicle navigation system has an azimuth sensor 1, a speed sensor 2, a GPS receiver 4, a CD-ROM 5, an LCD 7, an infrared remote controller 8, a system body 10 (a microprocessor 11, a display microprocessor 15), and the like. Peripheral facilities around the receiving position (own vehicle position) of the display screen (map) of the LCD 7 are displayed on the screen by the classification of facilities and in closer order by the instruction of the infrared remote controller 8 and also displayed in the chart. |
