PURPOSE: To realize an inexpensive approach line by using a public digital telephone line as the approach line to connect a distributed base station connection device and a distributed base station of the digital radio system. CONSTITUTION: Distributed base stations 17a and 17b are connected to a general public digital telephone line network 12 through public digital telephone lines 16a and 16b. In the waiting state, the network 12 is released not to charge the base station 17a (17b). When a call is originated from a public pocket telephone set 18, it is connected to a distributed base station connection device 11 by the base station 17a (17b), the telephone line 16a (16b), and a connection route 15 and is converted and is switched and connected through an I' line 13 by the public digital telephone line network, and the base station 17a (17b) is charged by the public digital telephone line network, and the public pocket telephone set 18 is charged by the charging center of PHS. In this case, the former charge is the cost of maintenance of the approach line, and the matter is the burden to the subscriber of the public pocket telephone set 18. |
