A resin composition for powder coating, which comprises the following components (A), (B) and (C): (A) a carboxyl group-containing resin having a number average molecular weight of from 1,000 to 20,000, an acid value of from 5 to 200 and a glass transition temperature of from 30 to 120 DEG C; (B) tris( beta -methylglycidyl) isocyanurate of formula (1); and (C) as a ring opening polymerization inhibitor, at least one compound selected from the group consisting of amines having in their molecules a bond of formula (2); and onium salts.
