DISTRIBUTED APPLICATION LOAD DISTRIBUTION AID TOOL

A tool (ORC) operating on the machines (MC0-MC3) of a computer system (SID) for distributing the load on each machine. The tool includes a plurality of daemons of which one is a master (MS0) while the others are agents (A1-A3). The master (MS0) and the agents (A1-A3) each have means (MCCO-MCC3) for calculating the load on the machines on which they operate, and memory means (MP0-MP3) for storing the master and agent load data. The master (MS0) contains means (MRCO-MRC3) for collecting load data from each agent, and means (MTC0) for sending to each agent the load data of the other agents, while each agent (A1-A3) contains means (MRCC1-MRCC3) for receiving load data form the other agents. Said tool is suitable for use in distributed computer systems.
