Disclosed are thiazolidinediones of general formula (I), whe rein A represents benzene or thiophene ring; R is pyridyl, thieny l or phenyl, which is optionally mono- or disubstituted by the su bstituents CF3, F or Cl, and their tautomers, enantiomers, diaste reoisomers and physiologically acceptable salts, their production method and pharmaceutical preparation containing thiazolidinedio nes and their use for production of medicaments for treatment of diabetes.
