Shoe stretcher with carrying rod

The stretcher has a first fork section with two prongs (16), the ends of which are shaped to match the shape of toe sections of shoes in which they are placed. The fork is mounted on a central support bar (11). Also mounted on this support bar is a second fork (30) the prongs (36) of which fit in the heel sections of the shoes.The position of the second fork on the support bar (11), relative to the first fork, can be adjusted and locked in one of several positions. The second fork incorporates a guide (31) of U-shaped cross section which fits over the support bar and which incorporates a ratchet which engages with teeth on the support bar.
