<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the time required for print processing in printing using ink for improving the quality of a printed matter. <P>SOLUTION: A print controller generating print data to be fed to a print section for forming a dot by ejecting colored ink and improving ink onto a print medium comprises a color converting section for converting the pixel value of each pixel in image data into multilevel halftoning data of each ink, and a color subtracting section for generating at least a part of color dot data and transparent dot data depending on multilevel halftoning data using a systematic dither method. The color subtracting section generates transparent dot data continuously to specific color dot data using an improving ink threshold value having a value generated depending on a value read out from a specific dither matrix used for generating color dot data for a specific color ink. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
