<p>PURPOSE: To provide simple structure that can regulate the advance limit of a piston without applying load to a normally closed valve at the time of the piston advancing in association with the air bleeding failure and fault of a hydraulic system in a master cylinder provided with the piston having a relief port and the normally closed valve for opening/closing the relief port. CONSTITUTION: Both ends of a valve opening bar 8 piercing an oblong hole 31 bored in the intermediate part of a piston 2 are fixed to a cylinder body, and a normally closed valve 36 is opened by the valve opening bar 8 at the retreat limit of the piston 2. In a master cylinder of such constitution, the rear end face 31r of the oblong hole 31 reaches the rear piston part 2b of the piston 2, and this rear end face 31r is made the advance stop face for regulating the advance limit of the piston 2 by the contact with the valve opening bar 8.</p> |
