PURPOSE: To obtain the subject composition which uses only a small amount of a polyester type thermoplastic elastomer and does not need an adhesion preventive agent by using low-evaporating liquid selected from phthalate type plasticizers as a base material and blending the polyester type thermoplastic elastomer as a thickening agent. CONSTITUTION: A transparent or translucent ink reservoir tube made of polyethylene or polypropylene is filled with water-base ink with viscosity at 25 deg.C of 30-1500cps. Such a composition for preventing the evaporation and outflow of ink for a water-base ink type ball point pen is prepared by using at least one kind of low-evaporating liquid selected from phthalate type plasticizers as a base material and blending a polyester type thermoplastic elastomer as a thickening agent. For example, dimethyl phthalate, di-2-ethylhexyl phthalate, etc., are used as the lows-evaporating liquid, and the composition of the polyester type thermoplastic elastomer is 4-6wt.% of the total. |
