<p>PURPOSE: To make brushing time constant by building a pause means for changing operation in a pause period after operation for the prescribed time into a timer mechanism. CONSTITUTION: The operation of a driving part 2, i.e., rotating direction of a motor 10, is changed when the prescribed time elapses after a power source switch 13 is turned on. The rotating motion of the motor 10 is then converted by a motion converting means 1 to reciprocating turning motion which is transmitted to a driving shaft 12 to rotationally actuate the brush body 5 back and forth. The rotating direction of the motor 10 is changed, i.e., returned to the original direction when the prescribed time elapses. The tooth brush is provided with the pause period in order to repeat a series of these motions. The motion pause means to change the brush operation of the motor-operated tooth brush to the motion of the pause time at the time of the motion for the prescribed time suffices if this means is built into the timer mechanism. The duration of the time for brushing is made to be recognized by a user, and eventually, the time for brushing is made approximately constant. Overpolishing and underpolishing are thus averted.</p> |
