<p>PURPOSE: To facilitate the connection works, by arranging a flange to contact the end face of one handrail and fixing a male connection metal fitting to the end face of one handrail with a screw and inserting the end of the other handrail into a female connection metal fitting and fixing it therein with a screw. CONSTITUTION: The flange 6 of a male connection metal fitting 1 is arranged to contact the end face of one handrail A. A small screw 4 with a flat countersunk head inserted in the hole 8 of the flange 6 is screwed in the handrail A to fix the male connection metal fitting 1 to the handrail A. The end of the other hand rail B is inserted in the insertion recess of the female connection metal fitting 2 and the small 5 screw with countersunk head inserted in the insertion hole 16 through a screw guide hole 15 is screwed in the end face of the other handrail B to fix the female connection metal fitting 2. Next, the end of the handrail A is inserted in the insertion recess 11 of the female connection metal fitting 2. The flange 6 of the male connection metal fitting 1 is inserted in the containing step 13 of the female connection metal fitting 2 and a fitting protrusion 7 is inserted in the containing hole and the fastening screw 3 is tightened. Accordingly, the connection work of the handrails can be facilitated by the fastening screw.</p> |
