<p>PURPOSE: To perform proper maintenance by discriminating skew jam and a print jam from each other and to prevent the occurrence of staining by an unfixed toner image during the stop of a machine due to a skew jam. CONSTITUTION: A screw jam detection control device comprises a detection timer 23 to detect a print ham based on a conveyance time for a recording paper; and detecting sensors S8 and S9 to detect a skew jam. When a print jam is detected, a machine is immediately stopped. When a skew jam is detected, the machine is stopped when a recording paper is moved to the position of an arrival detecting sensor S10 arranged at a stage preceded by a fixing part.</p> |
