New neothramycin derivatives, process for their preparation and their application as medicaments. The compounds of the present invention correspond to the general formula 1: <IMAGE> in which: R1 and R2 each represent, independently of each other, a hydrogen atom or a hydroxyl, alkyloxy or alkanoyloxy radical, or else R1 and R2 together form a carbonyl radical; R3, R4 and R5 each represent, independently of the others, a hydrogen or halogen atom, or a hydroxyl, alkyloxy or alkanoyloxy radical, or else, in pairs, form a methylenedioxy radical; R6 represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl or alkanoyl radical; R7 represents a hydrogen atom or a hydroxyl, alkyloxy, alkanoyloxy, mercapto, alkylthio, cyano, amino, phosphonate, sulpho(-SO3H) or alkali metal or alkaline-earth metal sulphonate radical, or else R6 and R7 together form a double bond DELTA .
