<p>PURPOSE: To prevent oxidization from occurring of a pre-heated scrap in its transportation by a method wherein a burner head having a plurality of mixing gas nozzles arranged around a powder particle nozzle is installed at the extremity end of a burner lance part, the burner lance part can be moved forward or rearward and its rotating angle and inclination angle are changed and then the burner lance is cooled. CONSTITUTION: A burner head 52 is installed at the extremity end of a burner lance 51 and the burner head 52 has a plurality of mixture gas nozzles 42 for injecting mixture gas of oxygen gas and fuel around a powder particle nozzle 17 for injecting powder and particles. Then, an oxygen burner 33 is inserted into a furnace with a burner advancing or retracting means 53, the burner head 52 is rotated by a rotating means 54 within the furnace and in addition an inclination angle of the oxygen burner 33 is adjusted by an inclination adjusting means 55 and concurrently cooling water fed by a pump is circulated through a utility hose 56 so as to cool the burner head 52. With such an arrangement as above, it is possible to prevent oxidation of the pre-heated scrap during its transportation.</p> |
