PURPOSE: To automatically vary the size of a cell according to the size of character string data arranged in an area (e.g. cell) as a result of corrections at spelling check time if the size of the character string data varies. CONSTITUTION: A character string which is put in a cell is retrieved and the spelling of the character string is checked. When the character string is varied as a result of the spelling check, proper size of the cell is obtained on the basis of the size of the character string after the variation (steps S2301 and S2302). According to the obtained size of the cell, the size of the rectangular area of the character string is varied (step S2303). Thus, the cell of proper size is obtained and displayed together with the character string after correction (step S2304). |
