PURPOSE: To accelerate the search speed of the optical transmitter receiver and to improve the reception accuracy of signals. CONSTITUTION: Concerning a first optical transmitter/receiver 2A constituted by turning a first light transmission part 9A for transmitting an optical signal at a narrow directional angle and a first light reception part 10A for receiving the optical signals at the narrow directional angle and a wide directional angle toward the same direction and a second optical transmitter/receiver 2B for transmitting a signal for search except for the time of signal transmission by providing a second light transmission part 9B for transmitting the optical signals at a prescribed directional angle and a second light reception part 10B equipped with the wider directional angle in comparison with the directional angle of this second light transmission part, a reference position is set by displacing the first light transmitter/receiver from its initial setting position just at the prescribed angle in advance while using a driving means 11A and based on this reference position, the first optical transmitter/receiver is displaced over a prescribed angle range. Then, the reception level of the signal transmitted from the second optical transmitter/receiver 2B is detected by the first light reception part, and the direction of the first optical transmitter/receiver 2A is decided at the position of the optimum reception level by the driving means. |
