PURPOSE: To perform visual inspections at a high speed even when a liquid crystal shutter is used under a low-temperature condition by housing the shutter in a case together with a heat generating lamp on the light source side of such a light guide means as the optical fiber, etc. CONSTITUTION: A heat generating lamp 2 is housed in a case 6 together with a liquid crystal shutter 5 and the base end section of an optical fiber 3 is fixed to the front end face of the case 6. Inspecting light emitted from the lamp 2 is directed to the fiber 3 through the shutter 5 and the fiber 3 projects the light upon an area 40 to be inspected. In addition, a ring lamp 7 is fixed to a frame and inspecting light emitted from the lamp 7 irradiates a circuit board 4 from the top side. A picture processing and control circuit section 8 controls the turn-on of the lamp 7 and operations of the shutter 5 and a TV camera 1 and, at the same time, inspects the normal/defective condition of the substrate 4 by processing the video signals taken with the camera 1. |
