PURPOSE: To generate an image representing precisely the image of an original even when a handy scanner is moved on a curve. CONSTITUTION: Two-dimension partial images 300, 301 of an original are picked up while being overlapped partly on each occasion of the movement of a handy scanner. The partial images 300, 301 are combined so that the direction of straight line components of image patterns 302,302 in an overlapped area is coincident through the rotation of the image picked up this time with the image picked up precedingly. |
