PURPOSE: To further improve charging and discharging characteristics of a secondary battery for which a hydrogen storage alloy-based electrode is used. CONSTITUTION: A hydrogen storage alloy powder which is an active material and produced by being pulverized by either a hydro-pulverizing method or a mechanically pulverizing method and a hydrogen storage alloy powder which is an active material and produced by a spraying method are properly mixed. A hydrogen storage alloy powder to be used contains not less than 50wt.%, in some cases from 50wt.% to 70wt.%, of granular powder (or spherical powder) with 1.3 or lower aspect ratio (longer diameter/shorter diameter ratio). |
