Medical water supply assembly incorporates pipe arrangement

An assembly (1) charges medical apparatus (10) with hot or cold water (12) which may become contaminated by toxins, carcinogenic, radioactive or infectious substances. The assembly (1) incorporates a cold water supply (15), and a fall-pipe inlet (2) preventing back-flow of non-potable water into the drinking water supply. The back-flow prevention arrangement incorporates: (a) a free flow path with a large pipe loop and jacket draining to (b) an intermediate water (27) storage vessel (17); (c) a pump (33) with pressurised cold water outlet (3) located downflow from the storage vessel (17). The novelty is that a branch (37) located between the pump (33) and the cold water outlet (3), is linked to a pressure-sealed storage heater (52); further that a heater (52) hot water outlet (54) tube (4) is connected to the hot water inlet (9) of the medical apparatus (10).
