PURPOSE: To provide a direction detecting device from which stable control information is obtained by eliminating the influence of noise, etc. CONSTITUTION: The predicted range of the direction to be detected at the second time is set based on the direction information obtained at the first time. Then whether or not the direction detected at the second time is contained in the predicted range is discriminated and, when it is discriminated that the direction is contained in the predicted range, the direction detected by means of a direction detecting means is fetched as the direction information at the second time. When it is discriminated that the direction is not contained in the predicted range, a CCD sensor signal processing section 13 fetches a prescribed direction contained in the predicted range as the direction information at the second time. |
