PURPOSE: To provide LiNiO2 as a positive active material which has high reproducibility of initial capacity and shows an excellent load characteristic when used for a positive active material for a non-aqueous secondary battery and provided the manufacturing method of the LiNiO2 and provided a lithium secondary battery for the positive electrode of which LiNiO2 is used. CONSTITUTION: A powder mixture with 27μm average particle diameter is obtained by weighting lithium hydroxide and nickel hydroxide in Li/Ni=1.005/1 mole ratio, mixing both hydroxides mutually in a liquid, drying and granulating the mixture by a spry drier and then sieving the mixture. After that, a LiNiO2 powder obtained by pulverizing a sintered substance obtained by compressing and forming the powder mixture and heat-treating the mixture in oxygen atmosphere is classified to obtain LiNiO2 particles with 0.01-0.04ml/g average capacity of fine pores. The powder is kneaded with a conductive agent and a binder, press-formed into a disk-like shape, and used as a positive electrode 2 for a lithium secondary battery. |
