PURPOSE: To improve developability while keeping a developer in a thin layer state and to surely avoid an adverse effect caused by the sticking of carriers to a latent image carrier due to the heaping of the developer. CONSTITUTION: In a noncontact two-component developing device provided with developing magnetic poles 5a in plural lines in an effective developing region Y, anglesαwith the center of the developing carrier 1 among the respective magnetic poles 5a in the effective developing region Y and between the magnetic poles 5a on the most upstream and downstream sides in the effective developing region Y and the magnetic poles 5b and 5c on the upstream and downstream sides which are adjacent to the region Y outside are almost equally set and further, the magnetic force B in the radial and tangent directions of the carrier 1, of the respective developing magnetic poles 5a in the region Y and the respective magnetic poles 5b and 5c on the upstream and downstream sides which are adjacent to the region Y outside is almost equally set. |
