PURPOSE: To speed up the reconfiguration of an overlap image to generate different kinds of cross-sectional images by using raw data in duplicate obtained by helical scan (or cine-scan). CONSTITUTION: An interpolation arithmetic part 2b calculates view data required for an inverse projection arithmetic operation from the raw data by an interpolation arithmetic operation when the cross-sectional image at a first cross-sectional position in the reconfiguration of the overlap image is generated. An inverse projection arithmetic part 2c generates the cross-sectional image at the first cross-sectional position from the view data calculated by the interpolation arithmetic operation by the inverse projection arithmetic operation. A sequential generation arithmetic part 2d generates the cross-sectional images at the cross- sectional positions behind the X-th(>=2) cross-sectional position in the reconfiguration of the overlap image by performing the weight addition/ subtraction of all or a part of raw data in accordance with the view data required for the inverse projection arithmetic operation on the cross-section of an X-th cross-sectional image on an (X-1)th cross-sectional image. |
