An axially movable inner housing (4) is located in the interior of the outer housing (18). It is supported via a pressure spring (6) in relation to the outer housing with which it is lockable. A face side of the outer housing or of the inner housing is in contact at least indirectly with cams (15,16) of a camshaft and a further face side also at least indirectly with the shaft of a valve (13).The locking mechanism has at least one coupling component (7). In the unlocked state this extends completely in the outer housing and in the locked state partly engages in a peripheral groove in the inner housing.
