Spinning machine control

To control a spinning machine, the rotation of at least one drive (3,3') is registered by a counter (20'). The machine (1) is switched off when the count of one drive (3') achieves a given threshold value within a time span on a given finding. Or, with two counters (7,7') for two drives (3,3'), the deviation in the counts is compared with a threshold value and, on breaching the threshold, the machine (1) is stopped.
