Disclosed is a finger ring with an information storage unit and at least two electrically conductive, mutually insulated ring elements that serve as contacts (1). The aim of the invention is to provide an arrangement of the contacts (1) enabling the ring contacts (1) to be applied quickly and reliably to mating contacts (17) of a control device without elaborate handling and giving a rugged, simple and versatile construction of both the contacts (1) and the mating contacts (17). The invention accomplishes this with an arrangement in which the contacts (1) have tangential planes (2) slanting toward each other and the contacts (1) can be reached without hindrance only from certain zones (8, 10) or segments (14).
