PURPOSE:To prevent the leg from floating up before hardening of adhesive and improve the appearance by furnishing a shape holding member at the end of the leg dangling at the rear of the molding body, wherein the shape holding member consists of a resin having the same coefficient of linear expansion as the surface of the molding body. CONSTITUTION:This window molding 21 consists of a molding body 24 covering the gap S between a car body opening edge 22a and a window glass pheripheral edge 23a and a leg 25 dangling at the rear 24a of the molding body 24 in the longitudinal direction, which are formed integrally by a resin of olefin type. The leg 25 is equipped with supporting lips 28, 29 in its upper and lower parts, and at the bottom, there is a retaining pawl 30 to grip the window glass peripheral edge 23a. In this construction, a shape holding member 31 consisting of ionomer resin is provided in connection with the outer surface of the retaining pawl 30 and the external surface of the lower supporting lip 29. This prevents the leg 25 from floating up from the gap S upon expansion before a sealant 32 hardens. |
