PURPOSE: To control the vertical and horizontal actions of a work piece retaining portion by rotating a screwed shaft and a nut screwed to the screwed shaft. CONSTITUTION: In order to move a bracket 7 (a work piece retaining portion) only in the vertical direction, a gear 16 meshed with a nut 2 is locked by means of the brake mechanism of a motor 5, and the nut 2 is kept so as not to rotate together with the shaft 1, and in this state, a motor 4 is driven, and the shaft 1 is rotated, and nuts 2, 3 are ascended in regard to the shaft 1. When the nuts 2, 3 are ascended, holders 12, 13 and an arm 90 are also ascended, so the bracket 7 is moved upward. Next, in order to move the bracket 7 horizontally only in direction that goes away from a bracket 8, the motor 4 is stopped, and the motor 5 is driven, and the nut 2 meshed with the gear 16 is rotated so as to ascend in regard to the shaft 1, and the nut 2 is brought near to the nut 3. |
