PURPOSE: To keep the fuel pressure applied to an injector constant regardless of pressure fluctuation in a tank in a returnless type fuel supply device. CONSTITUTION: Fuel F in a tank 1 is discharged by a pump 2 and force-fed to a delivery pipe 6 through a fuel pipe 4 to be distributed to the respective injectors 7. In order to keep the fuel pressure constant, a pressure regulator 3 is installed in the midway of the fuel pipe 4 in the tank l to regulate the pressure of fuel discharged to the fuel pipe 4. The fuel F which is left over by the regulation of the regulator 3 is returned directly to the tank l. In order to introduce reference pressure to the regulator 3, a sensing port 3c communicates with the air outside the tank l through a pipe 12. Accordingly, even if pressure in the tank l fluctuates, the pressure regulated by the regulator 3 will not fluctuate. |
