PURPOSE: To smoothly perform a driving operation by placing the tip holding part of a transmission lever in a position in which its distances from the holding part of a steering wheel and a rotary shaft core are roughly the same. CONSTITUTION: A steering wheel column is erected on an operation base 40, a circular steering wheel 28 is attached to the upper end part of the steering wheel column 28 and a transmission lever 30 is attached to a position in the vicinity of the left side of the steering wheel 29. The attaching position of the transmission lever 30 is determined by placing the tip holding part 30a of the transmission lever 30 in a position equidistant from the holding part of the steering wheel 29 and the shaft core of a steering wheel supporting shaft 33. As a result, an operator can easily perform the transmission operation of the transmission lever 30 with his left hand while performing a steering operation holding the steering wheel with his right hand. Thus, even for word needing frequent back and forth switching operations, it is possible to improve safe and sure steering operation.
