<p>PURPOSE: To facilitate the connection work for coated optical fibers and the housing work of the coated optical fibers after connection by providing a cable fixation portion, a connector support stand, coated optical fiber retaining portions that sort respective connections before connection at every both optical cables and conduct temporary fixation, and a housing body clamp portion to clamp a housing body for housing the coated optical fibers after connection. CONSTITUTION: Two optical cables 56 to be connected are respectively fixed at a cable fixation portion 18. A connector 60 is mounted on a connector support stand 20, and at the same time a housing body 64 is kept clamped at a housing body clamp portion 40, and the respective coated optical fibers 57 of both optical cables 56 are exposed by a predetermined length, and in regard to both optical cables 56, the connection metal fitting of s form opposite to these are coupled. The respective coated optical fibers before connection are sorted at every both optical cables 56 and temporary fixation is conducted at coated optical fiber retaining portions 30. As a result, neither of the optical cables 56 moves in regard to a main body during work and are retained in a stable state, and in addition the connector 60 and the housing body 64 are arranged at positions suitable for each work.</p> |
