PURPOSE: To easily expand and fold a ladder for a garret storage by fitting a ladder folded in three to the upper surface of a closing plate of an opening through a connector, and energizing the second stage of the ladder in the folding direction by a weak torsion spring. CONSTITUTION: A closing plate 12 of a ladder device 11 is fitted to an opening 4 of a garret storage 2 disposed on a ceiling plate 1 in such a manner as to freely open and close through a hinge 13. A first ladder member 19 is installed on the upper surface of the closing plate 12 through a connector 23, and second and third ladder members 20, 21 are connected to each other in such a manner as to freely oscillate through right and left pivoting metal fittings 24, 25 and folded and stacked to form a folding ladder member 16. The second ladder member 20 is energized in the folding direction by a torsion spring which is weaker than the total weight of the second and third ladder members 20, 21 and fitted to a pivot of the pivoting metal fitting 24. At the time of using the ladder device, the closing plate 12 is opened by an operation rod, and the grips of right and left handles 32 provided at the bottom of a notch 31 of the third ladder member 21 are grasped by both hands and stretched. At the time of storing the ladder, the ladder is folded by reverse operation to be returned to the garret. |
