PURPOSE: To prevent a rolled stock from being greatly inclined and bitten by adjusting the heights between rolling mill stands and sole plates with screw jacks and fixing the stands with wedge devices. CONSTITUTION: Lifting cylinders 9, 10, 11, 12 are operated and the rolling mill stands 2 are elevated. Screw jacks 13, 14, 15, 16 are driven with a motor 17 and set at a prescribed level. The lifting cylinders 9, 10, 11, 12 are simultaneously lowered and the rolling mill stands 2 are placed on the screw jacks 13, 14, 15, 16. Other cylinders 22, 23, 24, 25 are moved forward and backward and the stands are fixed on the sole plates 1 in the line direction with the wedge devices 18, 19, 20, 21. Clamping cylinders 6 are operated and the stands 2 are fixed on the sole plates 1 in the vertical direction. In this way, the centers of the rolled stock and vertical rolls are made to coincide for every size. |
