FIELD: gas turbines. SUBSTANCE: power generated by gas-turbine system is raised by means of direct-contact heat exchanger wherein humid ambient air is cooled down due to contact with cooler water so as to produce cooled ambient air and hot water; precompression device used to compress cooled ambient air generates high-pressure air which is warmer than ambient air and its relative humidity is lower. Evaporating cooler wherein hot water is fed provides for cooling high-pressure air to produce cool high-pressure air at temperature and relative humidity corresponding to ambient air; this air is fed to main compressor. EFFECT: improved design.
