Electronic medical thermometer for continuous temperature measurement of patient

The thermometer includes a temp. measuring probe with a digital output (1) connected via a timing impulse counter (2) to a digital display (3). If the probe measures a rise and fall in temperature a difference impulse is sent to the counter, which counts all the impulses and calculates the gradient of the change.A signal (4), preferably acoustic, is emitted if the measured temperature exceeds a given pre-set temperature timing impulse (5). A memory stores the max. rate of temp. change encountered. A memory can be added to store the highest temp. increase gradient. Also, a power indicator lamp enables determn. of whether the power source is still supplying the thermometer, using a quick glance.
