Each of the three inlet valves has an inlet duct (2-4) in at least one part of which is generated a turbulent flow depending on load conditions of the engine in a variable manner. A stronger turbulent flow is generated at partial load than at full load.Pref. the air-fuel mixt. flow and the air flow is controllable by stop members (9,11) such that at the partial load an air-fuel mixt. is supplied only via the middle duct (3) as turbulent one, while at full load the two outer inlet ducts, as filling ones, are used.
